A journey which ends in us becoming our final self. Becoming means that we are always learning whether intentionally or unintentionally. Our environments and experiences push us to change, to move differently, to think differently and to pivot. It is also a mindset shift and knowing that on the journey of becoming it is okay to stop and ask for help.
We are constantly becoming and every moment of our life shapes us. A huge part of our life which also shapes us is our mindset. No one can see what goes on in our minds, but it has an instant affect on our moods and how we show up. People may not be able to tell what is going on in our minds but the way we act and talk to ourselves can give them an idea.
Have you ever heard about habits taking about 21 days to form? Even though 21 day habits have become very popular, it actually takes about 66 days to form a habit. One thing that is important when it comes to building good habits is how much effort we actually put towards them.
Even when it comes to breaking bad habits, like changing our thinking, takes work.
Our words and thoughts are very powerful, so we need to be aware of what we say and think. This may not always be easy, but look at it this way, if we can very easily focus on negative thoughts, then the opposite can exist. We can build a habit to combat negative thoughts and have a habit where we embrace positive thinking.
So if you can build one habit, you can build the other, yes it takes time, but it is definitely worth it.
Every single moment of our life shapes us, it causes us to pivot towards certain directions and walk away from certain things. We are constantly and always becoming.
